Channel art is a banner at the top of your YouTube homepage. You can use it to brand the identity of your channel and give your page a unique look and feel for the viewers.
Here are some guidelines and examples below to set up your channel art design. Keep in mind that channel art looks different on desktop, tablet, mobile, and TV screen.
* Open YouTube app and sign in
* Click on the account icon 👤
* Click on your channel icon on the left
* Click on settings on the right 🔧
* Click on the camera 📷
* Take a new photo or Choose from your phone gallery
* After selecting an image, crop it and Click Save.
You are able to use an image saved on your mobile device/PC or in Google Photos that own. As I said above that channel art looks differently across devices, so larger image can be cropped.
To get the best results on all devices, recommended size is 2560 x 1440 px.
* Minimum dimension for upload should be 2048 x 1152 px
* Minimum safe area for text and logos should be 1546 x 423 px. Larger images maybe cropped on certain views or devices.
* Maximum width should be 2560 x 423 px. It means "safe area" is always visible regardless of screen size. The areas to each side of the channel art are visible or cropped depending on browser size.
* File size should have 6 MB or smaller size.
You can use the image editor of your Computer or an online image resizer to resize the image. If you have a Smartphone there are many apps available on Play Store by which you can create or change any size of Image. App that I use to resize images is Photo Editor that you can download clicking here. Really it's an awesome image editor for image creators.
I'll be happy to know your feedback regarding this post in comments, if there are any mistake I shall improve that immediately.
