Check custom URL eligibility

You can't get a custom URL for a fresh YouTube channel that is created recently or doesn't meet the requirements. You won't be able to get a custom URL until you became eligible for that. You can check eligibility for custom URL in this way :-

* Sign in to YouTube
* Click your channel icon in the top             right
* Click Settings 🔧then click Advanced
* Under 'Channel settings' choose the link next to You're eligible for a custom URL. It'll be visible for you only if your channel is eligible.

If you find your YouTube channel eligible for getting custom URL then you can give your fans/subscribers a unique and easy-to-remember web address that is called custom URL. A custom URL looks like -

youtube.com/yourcustomname
                       &
youtube.com/c/yourcustomname

You can get a custom URL anything you want but which has already been taken won't be available for you. You can check the availability for the most appropriate custom URL. Keep in mind, you can't change a custom URL after you created once. However, you will be able to remove the custom URL from your channel and claim a new one if you want to change it.

If you wish to share your custom URL, it doesn't matter if you write your channel name using small letters or capital letters because you are allowed to change its capitalization and accents any way you want. For example, both youtube.com/c/yourchannelname
                         &
youtube.com/c/YourChannelName
would send your viewers to the same YouTube channel.

Claim a custom URL for your channel

You'll be able to claim a custom URL for your channel if your channel meets the general eligibility requirements. Here are the general eligibility requirements that you need to get a custom URL. To get a custom URL, your channel needs :-

* minimum 100 Subscribers
* to be older at least a month
* channel icon
* channel art

A YouTube channel may get just one custom URL and that isn't transferable or assignable to anyone.

Set up a custom URL for your channel

When you will be eligible for getting a custom URL, Youtube will show a notice in your advanced account settings, you may be notified by an email and may see a notification in the dashboard of your Creator Studio.

Before you create: As I told above that you won't be able to change custom URL when you will have created once.

* Sign in to YouTube.
* Click your channel icon in the top            right
* Click Settings 🔧then click Advanced
* Under 'Channel settings' choose the link next to You're eligible for a custom URL.
* In the "Get a custom URL" box, you'll see the custom URL you've been approved for. You can't modify the part in the gray box, but to make the URL unique you may need to add a few letters or numbers.
* Read and understand the "Custom URL Terms of Use" carefully and tick the box to agree, then click Change URL.
* Once your custom URL has been approved by YouTube, you can't request to change it, so make sure before clicking Confirm choice that it's the URL you wanted.

Remove custom URL & claim a new URL

You are allowed remove your custom URL from your channel up to 3 times a year. When it will be removed, viewers won't reach to your channel using the old custom URL. You can't claim a new URL from the 'About me' page. Here are steps to claim remove custom URL and claim a new URL :-

* Sign in to YouTube
* Go 'About me' page
* Choose the account with your channel
* Look for your current custom URL under 'Sites' and click on edit
* Next to the URL you want to remove, click X
* Click OK

If you are eligible, you may get a new custom URL at once removing older, but it may take some days before the previous URL stops viewers directing to your channel.
