Reliance Jio Monsoon Hungama Exchange Offer and Best Jio Plans

In this scheme Reliance Jio is offering Mobile Phones users to exchange their existing device that should be in working condition. JioPhone can be purchased at Rs 1500 without exchange offer according to Reliance Jio. Reliance Jio company's subscriber base was at 215.3 million as of June 30, 2018 - had presented 4G-enabled feature phone JioPhone last year. 1. All you need to know about Reliance Jio Monsoon Hungama Offer

Reliance Jio says in its statement, "Monsoon Hungama is a combined offering of a JioPhone at effectively Rs 501 and a 6 months unlimited voice and data recharge of Rs 594."
Statement means customers opting for the exchange offer will be required to submit their existing mobile phone and pay a sum of Rs 1095 to get the new JioPhone along with unlimited voice and data for six months.
According to Reliance Jio the customer will be required to pay the amount of Rs 594, over and above the Rs 501 for the exchange at the time of activation. Jio is asking for 594 for the first recharge to give you 6 months uninterrupted services. Additional benefits include "a special exchange bonus of 6GB data voucher, worth Rs 101", it noted. This takes the total data to 90 GB over 6 months, it noted.

2. How much to pay for JioPhone under Exchange Offer?

Under the Monsoon Hungama exchange offer, Reliance Jio company is offering JioPhone device  to customers at an effective price of Rs 501, according to a statement by the company.
The amount of Rs 501 is a security deposit that is refundable, according to Reliance Jio. This Rs 501 is the amount paid by the customer to grab the exchange offer by submitting a working mobile phone.

At the end of three years, Reliance Jio will refund the 100% security deposit to all JioPhone users "thereby making the JioPhone effectively FREE", according to the telecom company.

3. What are the requirements to grab Jio Monsoon Hungama Exchange Offer? 

Jio Monsoon Hungama exchange offer can be utilized instantly at Reliance Jio retail stores. The exchange offer is applicable on "existing old 2G/3G/4G (non-VOLTE) phone"  along with the charge, according to Jio.
Reliance Jio mentioned the following five requirements for a handset to be eligible for the exchange offer:
1) The submitting mobile phone must be in working condition "without any damage/missing parts or broken/burnt parts".
2) Mobile phones bought by the customer after 1st January 2015 are eligible for exchange.
3) Any 2G, 3G or 4G (non-VoLTE) devices are eligible for exchange offer. VoLTE is a technology that enables voice calls as well as data to be carried through a common network.
4) According to Reliance Jio, "JioPhone or any CDMA or operator locked devices won't be accepted for exchange".
5) Apart from battery and charger, no other accessories such as headphone are required for exchange.

4. What to do with existing SIM card?

All the customers buying the JioPhone, either by paying the amount of Rs 1500 or by paying Rs 501 as part of the exchange offer will get a new SIM, according to Reliance Jio.  The customer can also retain their existing mobile number by opting for a mobile number portability (MNP) service. MNP refers to a facility that enables a telecom subscriber to switch to another service provider without having to change the mobile number.  The customer can avail the Reliance Jio Monsoon Hungama exchange offer after completion of the MNP process, Reliance Jio said in its statment.

5. Special plans to use on JioPhone device

Reliance Jio had introduced two plans priced at Rs 49 and Rs 153 to be used with JioPhone device but now the company has introduced third plan priced at Rs 99 that's the latest and best plan.

Rs 99 JioPhone plan

Among other benefits, the Rs 99 plan comes with benefits such as 0.5 GB data per day for a validity period of 28 days, almost a month (total high speed data benefit of 14 GBs). Other benefits include free voice calls and 300 SMSes for the entire validity period, according to the company.

Rs 49 JioPhone plan

Reliance Jio's cheapest plan for JioPhone is priced at Rs 49. This plan comes with a total high speed data benefit of 1 GB for a validity period of 28 days. While voice valls are free, just like all Jio plans, this pack allows the subscribers to send 50 SMSes with no additional charges during the validity period, according to the Jio website.

Rs 153 JioPhone plan

Reliance Jio's JioPhone plan priced at Rs 153 comes with 42 GBs of high speed data with a daily limit of 1.5 GBs, among other benefits. This plan is provided with a validity period of 28 days.
In all three plans mentioned above, data continues at a revised speed of 64 Kbps once the users exhaust the respective limits on quantity of high speed data allowed, according to the Reliance Jio's official website.
