Hello guys, today I am going to talk about the tracking system by which police catch a thief at the actual place. This tutorial is just for educational purpose only, I am not responsible if you read it as a hacking learning.
You must have heard many times and watched in movies that how police catch a thief using tracking technology. One thing that I would like to tell you at first that nobody can't find the exact location unless someone is utilising GPS technology. It doesn't matter what app has been installed in the mobile, it can just provide a range only not the exact location. In other words, nobody can reach at the exact location using Phone number and GPS. If police or somebody else is tracking a mobile which has a active mobile number then the Triangulation Technology is used by them.
Suppose a SIM is a connected to a Tower in range of 1.5 km then it won't give nothing except a range idea because this distance maybe all around of the Tower.
If somehow we get the data from two towers for the same number we still will be disable to reach at the exact location. Let's suppose the Mobile is 1.5 km away from tower X and 2 km from tower Y. We shall be unable to find it because there are various points those are 1.5 km from tower X and 2 km from tower Y.
But if we could get the data from three towers for the same number, it will give a unique point that fulfills all the parameters of the range where the mobile is being used. But it is also a range that's not so large, so now the mobile or thief can be searched manually in this short range. Let's suppose three of the towers are pinning point to a building which has multiple floors, so we can't know the floor number because there is no any technology available like this. After reaching to the building it's necessary to do manual searching.
If we talk about the IP Address, it's the thing by which an exact location can be found because it works very smartly.
At last I'd like to tell you the secret that nobody can track your Phone if your phone is switched off or the Airplane mode is activated.
